Notes
Alex met with the new water user committee and first asked them how the community is responding towards contributing towards the borehole account. The community has to raise 300,000sh plus feeding the people that will construct the new borehole. The committee members then told Alex that they had raised 150,000sh so far and many had promised to give in their money this week. He broke the good news to the committee that the borehole survey will be expected this week on Saturday after confirming with Draco drilling company. They were all very happy to hear the good news from Kibo group and Alex. Also Alex told the committee to guide everyone on how they have to behave during the surveying process and that they should remember to let the surveyor do his job best. Alex was also clear that the surveyor would consider surveying in the area of interest for the community members but they should not think that the water is found there but rather they should keep praying that water is got in the community of Budumba. He even visited Kagoto’s home and found that he was constructing on his new pit latrine. He kept encouraging every one to maintain the high standards of hygiene and sanitation during this rain season by making good use of all the facilities they constructed since many diseases easily spread out this time of the season. Alex was also able to pass by Bulyowa village and checked on the borehole status before the borehole repair takes place. He met with the treasurer of the committee and on a good note they had built on a new borehole fence and worked on the soak pit that was in terrible condition. The borehole repair will be done in the first week of April
