Notes
Ida went to Ndalike to introduce the community empowerment program to the community members. The chairperson Mr Anthony introduced Ida as one Kibo has sent to add value on Ndalike as Harriet of stoves and Alex of WASH have been doing. He also read a report from when Kibo started working up to date. Most people didn’t have latrins and could run away from their homes whenever the WASH guys visited, but now they are happy that they no longer run instead reach out to those who don’t have latrins and teach them the importance of latrins in homes. The chairperson spoke about stoves that women serve food in time and the food is ever hot! Anthony invited Ida to deliver the message from Kibo office. She thanked the community members the great welcome and for embracing all Kibo programs. Ida asked for togetherness between community and Kibo. Ida told the community members what they should expect from community empowerment program which include lessons like unity and harmony in marriage, parenting, domestic violence, poverty and poultry. We (Kibo)pray that both parties work together. The chairperson will mobilize and remind the members of the time and day to meet. The chairperson then took the group in a discussion of when, where to meet as Ida was guiding them. They together agreed on a Wednesday at 2:00pm at the chairperson’s home. They thanked Kibo for sending them programs continuously and asked for more.
